Connepro is for students and alumni who are starting something. Each school's innovation office runs its own campus. These are the expectations for that shared space.

Show the work

A profile and a venture are public. Write them so a classmate can tell what you are building and what help you want.

Use the stage on a venture to say where it is. If you post a stage change as an update, that update appears on the home feed.

People and teams

Ask to join a venture, or invite someone, when you mean it. A person can be on at most 5 ventures, including pending requests.

The venture chat is for the people on the venture and the innovation office. Do not put someone else’s private contact details there.

You can offer to join as a teammate or as a mentor. Mentor is a role on a venture, not a kind of profile.

On a venture, ask one person for one favor they already said they would do. Yes opens a short conversation. Not now closes the ask. The office can introduce one person to a venture that applied. The conversation stays with those two people.

Alumni and community say whether they teach. Saying you can hire does not show to students until the office confirms it. The office can mark someone who can fund a project. That mark is not something you claim yourself.

Programs and resources

Programs and resources are posted by the innovation office. Apply with a venture when the program asks for one.

The office can name a judge, a cohort mentor, or an admitted founder on a program. That role stays with the program. A judge reads the submission and leaves a note. A cohort mentor sees the teams already admitted. The office can also add a staff person to the desk. Staff can admit, post, and confirm hire or funding. They do not change the public page.

If a program admits ventures, a later notice is for those teams. It is labeled for that venture. Do not copy it into a public update unless the office posted it for everyone.

Open a resource only if it is shown to you. A resource for students, alumni, or one program is not for every visitor.

Be direct and fair

Disagree about the work, not the person. Do not harass, threaten, or pretend to be another student or the innovation office.

If a profile, venture, or message should come down, email the platform operator and say what it is and why. The office at the school can also take down what it posted.
